Fire engulf girls dormitories

On the rainy evening of thursday, 17th March while students were at evening prep, fire gutted the girls dormitory of Ghana Senior High School Koforidua, particularly the juniors block of Nightingale and Yaa Asantewaa houses. The exact cause of the fire is currently unknown since the students were at evening prep. According to reports by a teacher of the school, the fire started shortly after the she uploaded new credit on the prepaid meters of the houses. No lives have been reported to be lost but students were not able to recover their belongings from the dormitories. investigations are ongoing to discover the cause of the fire outbreak
