| Dead bodies floating in Odaw river |
After Monday’s heavy rains in Accra, the bodies of four people have been found at the Odaw River.
The bodies, feared to be in a bad state were found barely a week after the downpour by traders and construction workers. Two of the bodies are located near the Neoplan station where contractors are desilting the drains while the other two, including a woman are on each side of the railway crossing bridge linking Adabraka and Neoplan station from the Graphic Road.
An elderly artisan at the nearby Odorna garages who asked
for anonymity said people stay away from reporting such incidents which usually
follow heavy rains and floods to avoid being made police witnesses and court
attendants.
