X-MENTOUR ON KNUST WITH PRINCE KOFI AMOABENG AND SARKODIE

Vodafone X Ghana presents the X Men Tour on the 30th of April 2016 at the Great Hall of KNUST, Kumasi, Prince Kofi Amoabeng and Sarkodie, two Xtra ordinary men would be under one roof, hosted by Anita Erskine as they share their success stories and answer questions that the students have about them.

Prince Kofi Amoabeng is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of UT Bank and the Parent, UT Holdings. He is a  businessman and consultant, launching several enterprises including Opayesco Wood Processing Co Ltd, K K Power & Co ltd, P. K. Amoabeng Enterprise Ltd, and Schiewer Gh. Ltd., as well as a consulting firm, Jam Haus. He also taught at the Ghana Stock Exchange. In 1997, he and Joseph Nsonamoa set up a ‘finance house’ to provide more timely and appropriate finance than was available from the traditional banking sector. The finance house was initially called Best Financial Services, then changed the name to Unique Trust Financial Services, now UT Bank. The bank now has more than 600 employees in 26 branches in seven of the ten regions of Ghana.
Amoabeng is a member of the Board of Directors of the Ghana Interbank Payment Settlement System (GHIPSS); a member of the Council of Enablis Ghana (Canadian Entrepreneurial NGO) and a member of the International Advisory Board of China Europe International Business School (CEIBS), in Ghana.

 Michael Owusu Addo, known by his stage name Sarkodie, is a Ghanaian hip hop and hiplife recording artist from Tema. He won the Best International Act: Africa category at the 2012 BET Awards, and was nominated in the same category at the 2014 BET Awards. In 2015, Sarkodie was ranked the 19th most Influential Ghanaian by e.tv Ghana.He is considered one of the major proponents of the Azonto genre and dance.

ROTARACT CLUB KNUST PRESENTS "BY THE FIRESIDE PARTY"

Rotaract Club KNUST on Sunday 10th of April is organizing an event dubbed "By the Fireside Party" (BFSP '16) at 5pm prompt at the AU Gardens in KNUST campus around Africa Hall.
Some of the activities on the bill are as follows:
  • Pick and act
  • Spin the Bottle (Truth or dare)
  • Joke telling
  • Fastest fingers (Scratch card)
  • Direct a Question to a Friend
  • How best do you know Rotaract 
There will be free water, soobolo, malt, khebab and 1 ice cream bowl for everyone for eeryone.
Rate: at least 12 cedis from each club member before 10th April but any amount above 12 cedis will be very appreciated. Anyone with less than the amount stated can still bring it

A MAN CALLED ECG - A DANCE - MUSI - COMICAL STAGE PLAY

SaJurst Productions and the Department of English KNUST presents to you - A MAN CALLED ECG, a dance - musi - comical stage play, written and directed by Justina Ofosua Acheampong.
Venue for the play is the CCB auditorium on KNUST campus on the 9th of April, 2016. The first show is at 5pm prompt and the second show is at 8pm prompt.
