The Gunners looked on course to keep pace with surprise league leaders Leicester when Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez struck inside 35 minutes to put the visitors in firm control at Upton Park.

But Carroll's treble inside 10 minutes either side of the interval turned the game on its head for Slaven Bilic's side, who breathed life into their assault on Champions League qualification.
However, there was to be no victory at the end for the Hammers as Arsenal captain Laurent Koscielny hauled the Gunners level on 70 minutes.
The result leaves Arsenal 10 points adrift of leaders Leicester while West Ham remain in sixth, two points off the top four.
The Hammers almost made the perfect start as Mnauel Lanzini headed Aaron Cresswell's scuffed volley wide inside the opening minute, although the effort would have been ruled out for offside.
